Solar Blast Meditation

Welcome to the season of the sun. For the month of June we enjoy our longest and brightest days of the entire year with the peak coming on The Summer Solstice, June 21. When the sun is high in the sky and the days are long is the ideal time to catch the solar wind and stoke the fire of creativity to forge new and positive changes in your life. The world is changing now faster than ever and sometimes we need an energy boost to keep up with it all. The sun has the power to energize and heal, to create, to bring joy and to bring in new life. Use this energy, in tandem with the Cardinal Grand Cross to work on creating new directions and circumstances in your life, to heal the past and to co-create the future. Meditate on the sun, spend time in nature and set your intentions with the universe, then watch your dreams unfold this summer glowing and glimmering then coming to life in the brilliant sunlight of an afternoon June.

Solar Blast Meditation:

  1. Sit up in a comfortable position. Clear your mind of thoughts, tune into your breathing and deeply relax your body
  2. Start tuning into your heart center in the middle of your chest. Start breathing in and out from your heart. Begin to visualize the sun shining outwards in all directions from deep within your heart. See the sun glowing more brightly with each breath in your heart emanating outward in all directions. Feel the warmth of the sun radiate out from your heart as well. Continue to breathe from the heart and become aware of how you are feeling emotionally, energetically and physically. Allow the feelings of joy and empowerment to grow with the immense sunlight emanating outwards from deep within your spiritual heart center and know that your heart is open and warm. Stay with this for a few moments while your mind remains clear of thought and aware of everything.
  3. Allow the light to spread upwards and downwards now and start visualizing a sun emanating now from your solar plexus and your throat simultaneously. With each breath allow the lights to grow brighter and larger until the suns become equally as bright as your heart. Again keeping your mind clear become aware of any subtle shifts in your energy, feelings and body. Stay in this part of the meditation for a few moments.
  4. Allow the sunlight to spread upwards and downwards and start to visualize a sun in both your forehead (3rd eye) as well as your belly. Visualize those suns getting brighter with each breath until they match the brightness of your 3 other suns. Again keeping your mind clear become aware of any subtle shifts in your energy, feelings and body. Stay in this part of the meditation for a few moments.
  5. Allow the sunlight to spread upwards and downwards and start to visualize a sun in both your crown at the very top of your head as well as the base of your spine. Visualize those suns getting brighter with each breath until they match the brightness of your 5 other suns. Again keeping your mind clear become aware of any subtle shifts in your energy, feelings and body. Stay in this part of the meditation for a few moments.
  6. Allow all 7 suns to burn in tandem and continue to watch them grow in size and intensity until they become one big glowing sun shining through your whole body. Allow this light to provide you with healing, inspiration, joy and the power to create your reality. Stay in this state for a few moments more and become aware of how you are feeling emotionally, energetically and physically as the powers of the sun both purge toxins and energize your being.
  7. Allow the suns to dissipate now leaving your energy centers (chakras) open or closed to a comfortable level. Send some energy down your feet and into the earth to ground and center. When you are ready open your eyes.
