Meditation for Mercury Retrograde: Earthing

  1. Sitting up on chair or cross legged, do a deep relaxation and become present using the breath as a focal point.
  2. Imagine a chord of white light emanating from the center of the universe and allow it to approach the top of your head.
  3. Allow this light to enter the top of your head and feel or see it move downward through your center line until it exits from the base of your spine and the souls of your feet.
  4. Allow this light to move down into the earth as light filaments or “roots” in a lattice pattern growing downward and outwards in all directions.
  5. Continuing to feel the energy being fed from above allow the “roots” to move downward and outward so that you can see and/or feel the light filaments extending throughout the entire planet.
  6. Allow yourself to sink into your roots and become one with mother earth. Feel the activity on your skin (the earth’s surface) as well as the fire in your belly (the earth’s molten iron core) and allow your heartbeat to be the earth’s heartbeat and your breath to be the earth’s breath.
  7. Feel your consciousness go deep within your being at the same time while remaining fully present in the moment, feeling the movement around you, and within you as you remain totally still. Remain in this state of peace and tranquility for a few moments. Listen for your inner voice for insight and direction, or the voice of spirit, whether that comes as words, visuals or feelings. Know that the retrograding planets around you are assisting you in the process of going within to a place of stillness where answers and insights reside.
  8. When you are ready start to deepen your breath and let your essence rise up from the Earth back into your physical body. Deepen your breath. Wiggle toes and fingers and when you feel ready open your eyes.
