This morning I was thinking about my Yoga practice, and how grateful I am for this amazing science which has facilitated my Spiritual growth and has proven to be the perfect complement for my mediumship training. I would not be as good a medium as I am today if it were not for Yoga, and in fact, I might have even endangered my health without it as the increased energy flows associated with Mediumship work can do harm to an unconditioned body. Unfortunately, I’ve seen many talented Psychics and Mediums ignore their physical bodies and suffer consequences as a result. It’s kind of like trying to send 10,000 volts of electricity through wires that are only capable of handling 1,000 volts. Something’s got to give. Yoga is but one of several Spiritual disciplines that works through the body to create mind-body-spirit harmony. It strengthens the physical body (the temple of the soul) and the nervous system while increasing its capacity to work with greater amounts and higher frequencies of energy. The beauty of Yoga is that it can be as simple, or as difficult as you choose it to be. If you can breathe you can do Yoga.
I started doing Yoga again about 8 years ago and 3 years ago I started training in Kundalini Yoga; an offshoot of the classic practice which is professed to accelerate your growth and capacity to work with higher energies as compared with other forms of Yoga. Channeled from Ram Das through Yogi Bhajan, Kundalini Yoga was created to be a valuable ascension tool for the new Aquarian Age, and not surprisingly it has grown exponentially in popularity over the last few years as we are presently moving into the new age. All Yoga is good however and will get you to the same place when taught as a spiritual discipline. There are many related practices as well from different cultures that are equal in their benefits, such as Qigong, Martial Arts, or simply waling in the woods to name a few. With so much to choose from there is a Yoga, or related practice out there for everyone. The important thing is taking great care of your body during these times of energy acceleration and rapid change. I’m grateful to have the insight to take care of mine. Yoga has truly been one of the brightest lights on the path.
